The room

OOn the ground floor are the billiard room and the library/study. Ascending the magnificent staircase and the inner hall, one reaches the first floor. To the right is the ante-room and dining room with 18th-century stucco and marble and a large display case holding an antique Ginori dish set. The room, which overlooks the terrace, was published in “Il prestigio della tavola” by Claudia Sala (ed. Vallecchi). On the same floor are Wagner’s room and that of Pope Pius VI with a baldachin, with rich mirrors and two beautiful chests of drawers with red marble shelves. Going towards the inner staircase is a long sequence of lounges spanning the entire floor of the villa.

  • The large central hall with portraits of ancestors, velvet sofas, cabinets and tables;
  • the yellow drawing room enriched by a grandiose 19th-century crystal lamp and still-life paintings of the French school;
  • the stucco drawing room, so called because of the large 18th-century paintings set in stucco frames and a series of pink silk sofas;
  • the green drawing room, the study with walnut walls, the yellow Empire room, the sky-blue room with inlaid coffers and black marble.

All the floors in the villa are Venetian mosaic.
